How to use CRO Lens
Everything you need to install, activate, and get the most out of CRO Lens on Shopify stores.

1. Install the extension
CRO Lens is a Chrome browser extension. It also works in Brave and Microsoft Edge.
- Open the Chrome Web Store listing.
- Click Add to Chrome.
- Confirm the permissions prompt. CRO Lens only requests access to Shopify-powered storefronts and our backend.
- Pin the extension to your toolbar (click the puzzle icon → pin CRO Lens) for one-click access.
2. The free tier
Every install includes 5 free store scans per month — no credit card required. The free tier gives you the conversion score, the top 3 revenue leaks, app detection, and basic store diagnostics. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited scans, the full leak report, performance data, traffic estimates, and PDF export.
3. Buy a license key
You can pay from inside the extension or from this website.
Option A — From the extension
- Click the CRO Lens icon → click View Plans (or hit the paywall after using your 5 free scans).
- The extension opens crolensshopify.sarvadhidigital.com/checkout in a new tab with your plan pre-selected.
- Enter your email, complete checkout (card, UPI, or net banking via Razorpay).
- Your license key is shown on screen and emailed to you within 60 seconds.
Option B — From crolensshopify.sarvadhidigital.com
- Visit our pricing page.
- Click Upgrade to Pro (or Agency).
- Pay → license key is shown on screen and emailed.
1. On screen — immediately after payment success.
2. In your email — within 60 seconds (subject: "Your CRO Lens license key").
3. From your account — look it up at crolensshopify.sarvadhidigital.com/accountand click "Email my license key."
4. Activate your license key
Your license key looks like CROLENS-A3F7-K2NM-X9P4.
- Click the CRO Lens icon in your toolbar → Settings.
- Paste your key in the License Key field.
- Click Activate.
- Pro features unlock instantly — refresh any open Shopify storefront to see them.
If the extension was open when you paid on the website, it auto-detects the key via your email — no copy-paste needed.

Navigate to any Shopify storefront — yours or a competitor's. Click the CRO Lens icon. The audit report loads in under 5 seconds on a typical connection.
CRO Lens reads only publicly visible storefront data — product pages, collection pages, cart, checkout patterns, and detected scripts. We never log in to Shopify Admin or read your private data.
6. Reading the conversion score
The score (0–100) is a directional indicator combining:
- Number and severity of detected revenue leaks
- App-stack quality and bloat (overlapping apps, performance impact)
- Core Web Vitals and page-load patterns
- Trust and social-proof signals (reviews, badges, guarantees)
Higher is better, but the goal isn't to chase 100 — it's to know what to fix next. Each leak finding includes its typical conversion lift when fixed.
7. Revenue leak report
The leak report ranks issues by typical impact, not severity. Free tier shows the top 3 leaks; Pro shows the full list. Each leak includes:
- What it is (with a clear, non-jargon name)
- Why it matters (the conversion behavior it affects)
- Typical lift range when fixed
- Suggested fix or app recommendation
8. App stack detection
CRO Lens identifies 26+ specific Shopify apps from script signatures and DOM markers — reviews, upsells, page builders, subscriptions, recharge, klaviyo, and more. We also flag overlap (two apps doing the same job) and bloat (apps that load on every page but only fire on one).
9. Performance & Core Web Vitals — Pro
The Performance tab runs a CrUX-style breakdown of Largest Contentful Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift, and Interaction to Next Paint. Each script and resource is attributed to the app that loaded it — so "why is this store slow" becomes "this review app is loading 380KB on every page."
10. Traffic estimates — Pro
Monthly visitor range (low / mid / high), revenue estimate, and conversion-rate benchmarks for the niche. Estimates are directional and useful for comparing stores or sizing an audit opportunity — they're not exact analytics.
11. PDF export — Pro
One-click PDF export of the full audit. Includes the score, ranked leaks, app stack, and performance summary. Designed to be sent to clients as a sales artifact or to a Shopify operator as a punch-list.
12. Scan history — Pro
Pro keeps the last 20 scans; Agency keeps unlimited history. Re-scan any store to see how the score and leak list have changed — prove your improvements and spot regressions over time.
13. White-label PDF — Agency
Agency lets you upload your logo and accent color. Every PDF you export carries your branding instead of CRO Lens's. Useful for agency audits and lead-gen reports.
14. Manage your subscription
Open your account page with the email you paid with. You can:
- View your current plan and renewal date
- Resend your license key by email
- Upgrade Pro → Agency
- Cancel anytime
15. Cancel your subscription
Email [email protected] with your account email — we'll cancel within one business day. You keep access until the end of your current billing period; no further charges after that.
16. Troubleshooting
Extension shows no data
- Make sure you're on a Shopify-powered storefront. CRO Lens auto-detects Shopify; non-Shopify stores will show limited or no data.
- Try refreshing the page with the extension active.
- Disable other extensions temporarily to check for conflicts.
- Reinstall the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Scan loads slowly or stalls
- Check your internet connection.
- Our backend may be briefly unavailable — wait 60 seconds and retry.
- If the issue persists, email [email protected].
"Activation failed" on license key
- Paste, don't type, from your email.
- Keys start with
CROLENS-. Make sure no extra spaces got copied. - If you've exceeded your seat limit (Agency: 5), email us to reset.
